No to slash & burn

Gloucester's Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate, Jeremy Hilton, has condemned the Tories for their slash and burn approach of county council services.

In a personal statement published in the Gloucester Citizen on the 20th November, he expressed deep concern about job losses and cutbacks to frontline services.

Jeremy Hilton who also leads the Lib Dems at Shire Hall said:

"I will continue to oppose the Tories over their slash and burn of council services. We cannot risk damaging services to vulnerable people like the elderly who rely on the personal care that the council provides.

"Young people with drug and alcohol problems benefit from counselling that is so important to them as they recover from their addiction.

"Basic council services from public libraries to public transport are just as important."
