Sebastian Field out campaigning in Gloucester
Liberal Democrat councillor Sebastian Field recently took on the important role of Membership Development Officer for the Liberal Democrats in the Gloucester Constituency.
He has hit the ground running by exceeding his target of new members in the first week. Sebastian said 'we're running a really strong campaign for the parliamentary seat and for city council seats. There is a real buzz about the party in Gloucester, which is shown by the increased membership'.
Jeremy Hilton, Gloucester's next MP, added 'I'm particularly pleased at the number of young people we've recruited, some of whom might even stand for council seats. We've set ourselves an ambitious target for new members to be recruited by Election Day, but judging by this week we may exceed it. If we do, we'll just keep on recruiting!'
Election agent Kevin Daws said 'We don't have Lord Ashcroft's money like the Tories or handouts from the trade unions as do Labour, it's ordinary people making small donations that keeps the Liberal Democrats going. Join us now and help us win Gloucester'.
